Successful Mystery Author is About to Embark on a New Adventure.
July 19, 2011  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Heath P. Boice doesn't know anything about murder or detective work, but that doesn't stop this college administrator and successful author in embarking on a new mystery series.
Boice has a new publisher and a new series, "The Ocean Grove Mysteries," set to debut this fall.  "I hope that as the leaves start to turn and a chill is in the air," Boice says, "readers will curl up with an Ocean Grove Mystery and remember sea breezes and summertime memories of the shore."

The Ocean Grove Mysteries, published by Sea Breeze Press, takes readers to the Jersey Shore and Asbury College.  "The town is real, but the college is not," Boice chuckles, "Well, not really."  A former resident of Ocean Grove, NJ, just south of Asbury Park, Boice says that he found his inspiration in the town.  He worked at Monmouth University, just north of Ocean Grove for five years.  "There was something special about living and working at the shore," Boice says, "when I decided to write the Ocean Grove Mysteries, I decided to combine the two.  People who know of Monmouth University may see some similarities with Asbury College- but all of the stories are fictitious, of course."

The Ocean Grove Mysteries follow Douglas Carter-Connors, Dean of Students at Asbury College as he learns about sleuthing.  In book 1, Missing at the Midway,  Dean Doug is in search of a missing student.  Book 2, Buried by the Boardwalk, gets a little darker when a skull is unearthed on the Asbury campus.  Both books will be available in trade paperback and e-books this fall.  Book 3, Counterfeit at the Coast is scheduled to be released in time for summer 2012.

According to Boice, the Ocean Grove Mysteries are for anyone who loves 1.  Ocean Grove, NJ; 2.  The Shore; 3.  Life at College; 4.  Cozy mysteries.  He goes on the say,"A little town with a boardwalk, a college campus with strange happenings, and a detective who is making everything up as he goes along?  Sound funny- I hope so."
