Welcome to

Mystery 101...

If you’re interested read more...

I grew up in a small upstate NY town, north of Albany, west of Bennington, VT, called Cambridge.  It is the kind of town where cows rule, art flourishes, and Americana lives on.  I attended Cambridge Central School from k-12, all in one building.

After high school, I went an hour south to attend The College of St. Rose in Albany and majored in Public Communications- Radio and Television.  I had a few internships and jobs "in the business", running the teleprompter at WRGB; writing news and running the teleprompter at WTEN; producing Bob Cudmore's longtime radio show on WGY radio; anchoring the early morning news at WKAJ in Saratoga Springs; and a few other gigs.  When not working in the glamorous world of media, I washed dishes and flipped burgers during summer vacations at the Burger Den in Cambridge.  Would you like fries with that?

I got tired of working early mornings at WTEN and decided to retire from the news business and pursue my Masters in College Student Personnel at St. Rose... although I had no way of knowing, my life as a college administrator was born, and in a sense, so was Dean Doug.

After graduation, I moved to New Jersey to begin my professional career in student affairs at Centenary College... then on to Monmouth University... and last NJ stop- Rutgers (where I also completed my doctorate in Social and Philosophical Foundations of Education in 2002).

Although I can't imagine you would like to know more, I will share bits and pieces as time goes on... oh, and what does the "P." stand for?  Peyton.  Yes, for those of you who watched television in the sixties as in "Peyton Place."  It's no wonder that I love soap operas.

Take care, and thank you for your interest.
